Depending on how much quality time you want to spend in each area on the farm, you could easily spend a few hours to all day. On average, most of our guests spend a little over 4 hours enjoying the farm.
What should I wear?
Comfortable closed-toe shoes and layered clothing. Seasonal weather can be unpredictable so we suggest bringing a jacket. We do NOT recommend flip flops, sandals, or slide on shoes. This is a farm and the ground can be un level. Boots are suggested if it has recently rained.
Can I bring my pet to the farm?
Being Tennessee's largest petting farm means we love animals of all shapes and sizes. Unfortunately, our insurance carriers and USDA regulations regarding animal welfare prohibit us from allowing outside animals onto the property. We appreciate your understanding.
Can I drop my children off at the farm and pick them up later?
No. For the safety of all, an adult (18 years or older) must accompany children under 12 years old at all times while visiting Lucky Ladd Farms. We encourage families to experience the farm and all its' attractions together.
Do you offer private campfires?
Yes, by reservation only. They include all the wood needed, a table for your personal use, and nine bales of straw which will seat about 18 adults. You are welcome to bring in additional seating. While we do not provide campfire roasting forks, you can either bring your own or buy roasting skewers from our concession stand. Campfire rentals are $50 per fire site with paid admission. Groups with more than 25 guests should reserve more than fire site.
Due to new insurance regulations, we can no longer allow outside food on the farm when our concession stand is in operation. We apologize for any inconvenience. Groups who would like to roast hot-dogs or make marshmallow smores can purchase food from our concession stand. We have created affordable meal options for our campfire groups. Orders must be placed one week in advance. Request food pricing when reserving your campfire sites.
Do you have a pumpkin patch?
Yes, we have both a pick-your-own pumpkin patch and a large variety of pre-picked pumpkins available for purchase. Most pumpkins will already be cut from the vine to make handling easier for young hands.
How much are pumpkins?
Prices vary depending on size. Our pumpkins start at $.50 each and go up according to size.
Can I buy pumpkin without paying to do all the other activities?
Yes. You may purchase pumpkins in our Farm Market without purchasing a general admission ticket. If you want to go to the pumpkin patch, then you must pay admission.
Do you wholesale pumpkins or offer bulk rate pricing?
Currently we do not wholesale pumpkins or offer bulk rate pricing. We suggest you visit Pick Tennessee Products or Tennessee Farm Fresh to locate a wholesale producer.
Do you offer a group discount?
Yes. If one individual pays for 20 or more admission tickets, we offer a $1.00 off discount per person. During regular business hours, we recommend you call ahead so we can have the tickets ready for you when you arrive at the farm, however, you may also ask for the group discount at the main entrance upon arrival. Groups wanting to visit the farm during non-regular business hours or for a private event are required to make reservations. Cannot be combined with any other discount offer. Only one payment will be accepted for the entire group.
Can we bring our scouts, youth organization or church group to the farm?
Yes. Please see information above about a group discount.
Are you open during the week for school groups, daycare's or mothers-day-out programs?
Yes, by reservation only. We require a minimum of 20 paying guests or $120. For complete information on farm tours please visit our group tour page.
How long will it take me to get through the corn maze?
Our maze is a little over three acres in size. The average time is 20 minutes, but don't worry we have any exit at the half-way point should you find the maze too challenging. Guests opting to play games located inside the maze can expect this attraction to last longer.
How long is the wilderness hay wagon ride?
The ride lasts about 20 minutes and features wildlife you would find across the state of Tennessee. No the animals are not real, but it's still fun to find them hidden along the trail through the woods. Fun facts and history about native wildlife and agriculture are shared along the way.
Is it safe for children to pet the animals?
Yes. Animals at Lucky Ladd Farms are under the routine care of a veterinarian. In addition, our farm is USDA licensed and inspected to ensure all animals are maintained in a clean and healthy environment. We require adult supervision at all times around the animals and strongly encourage that all visitors use hand washing stations available when exiting the animal areas. Extra caution and care to personal hygiene should be given to all persons with comprised immune systems, pregnant women and children under the age of five.
